Is TherapySites or Daylight better for my therapy practice website?
Daylight is the better fit if your main problem is being found consistently on Google, directories, and AI assistants; TherapySites is the better fit if you want a broader therapist marketing agency with website plans plus optional ads, social media, secure emails and forms, reputation management, SEO, and AI optimization.61
The clearest difference is scope. Daylight’s help pages describe one connected system for your site, Google listing, directory profiles, and what AI assistants say about you; TherapySites describes website plans and a menu of marketing services, with some search and AI work tied to specific plans or add-ons.614
“Most survey participants reported that they have sought help for a problem online and were satisfied with the help they received.”
That study was about young Australian men and online help-seeking, not U.S. private practice therapy shopping. The useful point is narrower: for some people, the first step toward help happens online, so a practice website must answer real client questions before the consult call.18
If you want one vendor that lists a wider marketing menu, TherapySites names website design, social media, local SEO, paid advertising, secure emails and forms, and more.51 If you want the site, listings, and AI visibility handled as one monthly loop, Daylight’s help pages describe that combined work.69
For many practices, the choice is less about which company can publish pages and more about what happens after the site is live. The sections below compare getting found first, then design, price, and changes.
Is TherapySites good for SEO?
TherapySites offers SEO for therapists, with bundles starting at $99 per month as of October 2026; Daylight includes website, Google listing, directories, AI answers, and a monthly check in its $39 monthly price after the first month.311
Google’s own SEO Starter Guide defines SEO as helping search engines understand your content and helping users decide whether to visit your site through search.16 For a therapy practice, that usually means clear pages for services, towns, online states, fees, insurance, credentials, and contact steps.
TherapySites says its SEO service makes it easier for search engines to read your website by adding meta titles, meta descriptions, image alt texts, and more.3 It also says local SEO work includes adding location keywords to your website and creating your Google Business Profile, the free listing that shows in Maps and the map pack.3
“AIO is an add-on to our SEO service that optimizes your practice website to appear for both traditional and AI searches.”
TherapySites says its SEO service includes campaign setup, on-page optimization, Google Business Profile creation, keyword research, custom blog content, and performance reporting.3 TherapySites says its AIO service includes schema markup optimization, page relevance optimization, review signal amplification, content access control, directory placement, and a monthly AI audit.4
TherapySites’s AI pricing pages do not align cleanly. Its AIO page says AIO starts at $49 per month and “Requires SEO 2.0 $99/month,” while its main pricing page labels the $99 Advantage plan as SEO 1.0, the $158 Premium plan as SEO 2.0, and the $207 Premium Plus plan as including AI search optimization.41 Confirm the current plan combination before buying.
Daylight says it plans a site from searches people near you use, who shows up today, your Google listing and directory profiles, and what an AI assistant says when someone asks for a business like yours.6 Daylight says it builds clear pages for each service or treatment and each area you serve, writes page titles and descriptions, adds structured data, allows AI assistants to read the site, creates an llms.txt summary, checks directories, and runs a monthly check.69
In Daylight’s October 2026 scan of 227 US therapy practice websites, 39.3% (n=219) stated their session fee, 11.4% (n=219) said whether they were accepting new clients, and 5.5% (n=219) stated a reply time.15 Those are basic choice facts, and they affect whether a searcher has enough information to contact you.

| Pass the check (% of practices) | |
|---|---|
| State session fee | 39.3% |
| Let clients book online | 11.9% |

Baird and colleagues studied Twitter discussion of telehealth for mental health or substance use from January 2014 to June 2021, not private-practice website choice. They found 2,017 tweets before the pandemic and 8,672 during the pandemic, which supports a narrow point: mental health telehealth was being discussed much more often online during that period.19
| Work | TherapySites | Daylight |
|---|---|---|
| Service pages | Recommends pages for conditions treated and types of therapy used.5 | Builds pages for each service or treatment and each area served.6 |
| Google listing | SEO service includes creating a Google Business Profile.3 | Checks and writes description, categories, and services.7 |
| Directories | AIO includes directory placement; reputation management starts at $40/month.41 | Shows profiles found, missing items, and links to fix them.8 |
| AI assistants | AIO starts at $49/month and its plan pairing should be confirmed.41 | Checks what AI assistants say and fixes the information they rely on.6 |
| Monthly follow-up | SEO page says performance reporting includes monthly reports.3 | Monthly check covers website, Google listing, directories, searches, and AI answers.9 |
Daylight says it checks your Google listing and writes its description, categories, and services, then either makes the changes after you add it as a Manager or gives you text to paste yourself.7 Google says a Business Profile must reflect the business accurately, use an accurate address or service area, and choose the fewest categories needed to describe the core business.17
This matters most for in-person and hybrid practices. Daylight says Google only lists businesses that see clients in person, and that online-only practices are not eligible for a Google listing if they do not see clients at an address.7
How do the websites look and feel?
TherapySites starts from therapist website designs that can be tailored by an Onboarding Specialist; Daylight says each site gets its own design from your words, photos, logo, and colors, never from a template.210
TherapySites lists named designs such as Healing, Celebratory, Hope & Inspiration, Sanctuary, Welcoming, Balance, Renewal, Serenity, and Harmony, each with a live preview option.2 Its FAQ says you choose a theme from its design gallery and an Onboarding Specialist tailors it to your practice.5
Daylight says it reads your current site and listings first, then draws the design from your words, photos, logo, and colors.10 Daylight says two home page designs are drawn and compared, the stronger one is kept, and the layout is checked on a phone and computer screen before you see it.10
For a solo LCSW in Austin who treats anxiety and perinatal stress, the practical question is not whether the site looks polished. It is whether the first screen says who the practice helps, where, how sessions work, and what to do next.
Daylight says home and About pages can be rearranged freely, while specialty, approach, group, area, Fees, Contact, and FAQ pages share a consistent layout with editable words, pictures, and some page elements.21 TherapySites says its designs include mobile responsiveness, appointment scheduling, encryption, and unlimited pages.5
TherapySites pricing
As of October 2026, TherapySites lists a $199 one-time website design fee and monthly plans from $69 to $336; Daylight lists $5 for the first month and $39 per month after that.111
TherapySites lists Core at $69 per month, Advantage at $99 per month, Premium at $158 per month, Premium Plus at $207 per month, Elite at $266 per month, and Elite Plus at $336 per month, as of October 2026.1 It also lists website design with concierge onboarding at a $199 one-time fee.1
Daylight lists one U.S. subscription price: $5 for the first month, then $39 per month, with the same price for a new website and Keep my current website.1112 Daylight says if you need a new web address, you can buy it in the dashboard and the yearly price is shown before you pay, so the $434 figure below excludes an optional new domain.11

TherapySites says it does not lock you into a subscription and that you pay month by month, with an exception for promotional offers that require several months of service.5 Daylight says cancellation is handled in Settings, everything keeps working until the end of the paid month, and there are no refunds for part of a month.20
If you need a detailed current price check, compare the listed plan pages with Daylight pricing. If you are comparing more options, use Daylight compared as a starting point.
How easy is it to make changes?
TherapySites says you can log into a portal to make changes yourself or reach customer support; Daylight says you can type a plain-English change request or click Edit to change words, photos, and sections yourself.513
TherapySites says its website portal lets you open a support ticket, check performance analytics, and manage other aspects of your website.2 Its pricing page lists unlimited live support, and its FAQ says you can log into the portal at any time to make changes yourself or reach customer support for help.15
Daylight says you can open Your website and type a request such as “make the headline warmer,” or click Edit to change words, photos, and sections yourself.13 Daylight says every change is saved right away, is free, and can be put back with Undo or from History.13
| Change type | TherapySites | Daylight |
|---|---|---|
| Wording change | Use the portal yourself or reach customer support.5 | Type the requested change in your own words or edit the text directly.13 |
| Support for changes | Unlimited live support is listed on the pricing page.1 | 25 assisted changes per day in the first week, then 10 per day; direct edits do not count.13 |
| Design change | An Onboarding Specialist tailors a chosen theme.5 | Colors, fonts, sizes, spacing, header, footer, home page, and About page can be changed within its design rules.21 |
| Domain connection | Core includes domain name management; the connection process is not stated on their site.1 | Open Launch, connect your address, and your email keeps working.22 |
Daylight says it does not run a contact form and never receives what clients write; contact buttons open your own secure form or the visitor’s email.14 TherapySites lists HIPAA-compliant secure emails and forms starting at $15 per month.1
TherapySites alternatives: who fits which?
Choose TherapySites if you want a full-service therapist marketing agency with add-ons like ads, social media, secure emails and forms, and reputation management; choose Daylight if you want a lower-cost system focused on your website, Google listing, directories, and AI answers.51611
TherapySites is a reasonable fit if you want one vendor that lists website design, social media, local SEO, and more, and you are willing to choose a plan and add-ons around that service menu.51 It may also fit if secure email and forms are part of what you want from the same vendor, since TherapySites lists that add-on starting at $15 per month.1
Daylight is a reasonable fit if your first problem is findability across search, Maps, directories, and AI assistants, and you want the website work tied to that problem instead of treated as a separate asset.6 It also fits if you want to see a free report and website preview before deciding to pay.23
| If this is your priority | Better fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You want ads or social media managed | TherapySites | TherapySites lists Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and social media management add-ons.1 |
| You want AI search included with website and listing work | Daylight | Daylight includes what AI assistants say about you in its monthly product scope.11 |
| You want HIPAA-compliant secure email and forms from the same provider | TherapySites | TherapySites lists secure emails and forms starting at $15/month.1 |
| You want the lowest listed first-year subscription cost | Daylight | Daylight’s first-year subscription is $434; optional new domain excluded.11 |
| You want to keep your current website | Daylight | Daylight has a Keep my current website plan at the same price as a new website.12 |
Key takeaways
- TherapySites is broader: website design, SEO, AI optimization, ads, social media, secure emails and forms, and reputation services are all named on its pages.1345
- Daylight is narrower and more connected: the website, Google listing, directories, AI answers, and monthly check are described as one system.6789
- The listed first-year subscription cost is $434 for Daylight, excluding an optional new domain; TherapySites website plans calculate to $1,027 to $4,231 for the first year when the stated $199 one-time website design fee is included.111
- TherapySites starts from a design gallery theme that is tailored; Daylight says each design is drawn from your practice and not picked from a template.510
- Online-only therapists should be cautious with Google Business Profile claims because Google listings are for businesses with a physical location customers can visit or businesses that travel to customers.17

How we researched this
First-year cost calculations use the listed October 2026 monthly price multiplied by 12, plus any stated one-time website design fee. Daylight’s first-year figure uses $5 for the first month plus 11 months at $39, and excludes an optional new domain because Daylight says the yearly domain price is shown before purchase.111
