Google listing
Creating, claiming and improving your Google Business Profile.
Setting up your listing
- How do you help with my Google listing? We check your Google listing and write its description, categories and services. Then either you add us as a Manager and we make the changes, or you copy and paste them yourself. You can remove us anytime.
- How do I create a Google listing?Go to business.google.com/create, use your practice's name exactly as your website does, choose the category we suggest, add your address or the area you serve, and verify it. Then paste in the description and services we've written for you.
- How do I claim or verify my Google listing?Find your practice on Google Maps, click Claim this business (or Own this business?), then Manage now, and verify the way Google offers: usually a call, a text or a short video. Only an owner can make changes or add us, so this comes first.
- What do the checks on my Google listing screen mean?We check six things on your listing: that it's claimed, its description, its link to your website, its photos, its opening hours and its phone number. Green is fine. Anything else shows what we saw and what to fix, and two questions only you can answer.
Letting us help
- How do I add Daylight as a Manager on my Google listing?Open your listing while signed in to the Google account that owns it, open the ⋮ menu, choose Business Profile settings, then People and access. Add the email address shown on your Google listing screen as a Manager, then click I've added you. A Manager can't delete your listing, and you can remove us anytime.
- How do I update my Google listing myself? On your Google listing screen, choose I do it. We show your new description, categories, services and hours, each with a Copy button. Open your listing on Google, click Edit profile, and paste each one where it belongs.
