I see clients online, in person, or both. How do you handle that?

Updated October 21, 2026

The short answer

Your scan reads how you see clients from your own pages: at an office, online in the states you name, or both. Your searches, your report and your site all follow that, so an online practice is found across its states and an office is shown only where you have one.

What your scan reads

  • How you see clients: in person, online, or both, from the way your own pages describe it. When your site says you offer telehealth in certain states, we take your word for it.
  • The states you see people in online: only the ones you name. We never assume more from a licence or a compact.
  • Every office listed on your pages, with its own town, so a group with several locations is read as several locations.

Where your searches are checked

Your report checks the searches clients use in the places you actually see them: each office's town, and each state you see people in online. An online search is checked from inside that state, the way someone there would see it, and isn't judged on the map results, which only list offices.

On your website

  • Online only: your site names the states you see people in, with a page for each one when there are several, and doesn't mention an office or publish an address.
  • Several offices: each office gets a page for its town, and every office is listed for Google and AI assistants.
  • Both: your offices and your online states, each where it belongs.
  • In person only: your office, with no online sessions offered.

Good to know: Your site says how you see clients, never what you don't do, unless your own pages say it. “Online only” appears only when that's your wording.

Common questions

I see clients online across several states. Will I get a page for each?
Yes, up to 15 states. Each one gets its own page, written for people in that state, with the questions they ask, such as whether they need to be in the state for each session. With one state, your whole site speaks to it instead.
Something about where I see clients is wrong. How do I fix it?
Ask in Your website in plain words, for example “I also see clients in Colorado” or “I've closed the Hudson office”, and it's changed everywhere it appears.
