Couldn't I do this myself on Squarespace or Wix?

Updated October 15, 2026

The short answer

You could do some of it, but it takes research, technical work and checking every month that most website builders leave to you. Daylight does all of it for you and keeps it up to date.

What a website builder gives you

Squarespace, Wix and similar builders give you a good-looking page and a box for each page's title and description. What goes in those boxes, which pages you need, and everything search engines and AI assistants read behind the scenes is left to you.

What you'd need to do yourself

  • Find the searches that matter: which words people near you use for the help you offer, and how many search for each. That takes paid search tools most clinicians don't have.
  • Plan and write a page for each specialty, approach and area, each one different enough that Google doesn't treat it as a copy.
  • Write the structured data by hand for your practice, each clinician, your services and your questions, keep it matching your pages, and add it to a builder that often only takes it in one place.
  • Check your facts everywhere: that your name, address, phone, insurance and hours match on your site, your Google listing and every directory.
  • Let AI assistants in and give them a summary to read, and check your builder isn't blocking them.
  • Keep your old addresses working with a redirect for each one when you move to a new site.
  • Check every month: run your searches again, ask the assistants again, and fix what changed.

What Daylight does

All of the above is built into the site we make for you and checked every month. You see it in plain words in your report and monthly check, and you can still change any wording yourself in Your website.
