About Daysprings Psychiatry & Wellness

When exhaustion, loneliness, sadness, guilt, or fear are taking up too much of your day, it can be hard to explain what is happening. I provide psychiatric care that starts by listening carefully and building a clear plan with you.

My practice

Daysprings Psychiatry & Wellness is my solo telepsychiatry practice.

Choosing to seek professional help can be a courageous decision, particularly when it has taken months or years to put words to what you have been carrying.

I work with patients seeking care for mood disorders, psychotic disorders, ADHD, sleep disorders, and stress disorders. My work includes psychiatric assessment and diagnosis, medication management, and brief counseling or therapy. I use evidence-based care and base recommendations on your symptoms, health history, and goals.

Faith can be part of the conversation when it matters to you. I do not assume it is part of every person’s care.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner

I’m Oyeronke Ajiboye-Lala, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner.

I earned my doctorate from Georgia State University and bring more than 20 years of experience in nursing and healthcare to my practice. I assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions, offering medication management alongside brief counseling and therapy services.

My purpose is to provide care that is attentive to the person in front of me, not just a diagnosis on a chart. I want you to understand the options in front of you and have room to ask questions as we decide what fits your care.

How care begins

Care begins with an assessment, then continues with a plan that can be reviewed as your needs change.

  1. Assessment and diagnosis

I use interviews and clinical assessment to understand your symptoms, health history, and what has or has not helped in the past. Psychological tests may also be part of the assessment.

  2. Options discussed clearly

I explain the treatment options that fit the concerns we identify. This may include medication management, brief counseling, or both.

  3. Review over time

I monitor how treatment is going and revisit medication suitability as your condition and daily life change.

Medication and brief therapy

Medication management is a conversation about symptoms, medication history, possible benefits, side effects, and changes over time. A prescription is not separate from the rest of your care.

Brief counseling can be part of care as well. Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on thinking patterns that affect emotions and behavior. Motivational interviewing draws on your strengths and past successes when you are working toward a change.

Medication Management
Thoughtful review and monitoring of medication as part of your treatment plan.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
A short-term approach for identifying thought patterns that affect emotions and behavior.
Motivational Interviewing
A strengths-based conversation that looks at what has helped you make changes before.
Pharmacogenetic Testing
This may be considered when more information would help with medication selection, especially after trying different medications. Results are reviewed with you.
