# What does my score mean?

Your score, out of 100, shows how easy it is for new clients to find your practice and get in touch. It adds up three areas: being found online, getting in touch with you, and your directory listings.

## The three areas

- **Being found online** (35 points): whether Google and AI assistants can find and understand your site.
- **Getting in touch with you** (40 points): whether a visitor can see your fees, insurance, a free consultation, how fast you reply, and how to book.
- **Your listings** (25 points): your Google listing and directory profiles.

## What the grades mean

- **Strong**: 88 and above
- **Good**: 75 to 87
- **Fair**: 60 to 74
- **Poor**: below 60

Good to know: Most practices start lower than they'd expect. That's normal, and it's exactly what we're here to fix.

## If you only have a directory profile

The score looks at what you own: a website and a Google listing. If your Headway, Grow or Psychology Today profile is your only page online, your score will be low. That isn't a judgment of your work. It means clients searching outside that directory can't find you yet.

## Why your score doesn't drop by chance

Once something passes, it stays counted. A check that couldn't read your site one day, a slow test or a directory page that didn't load won't lower your score, and neither will a change to how we grade.

Your score only goes down if something that was passing is gone on two checks at least a day apart, for example if a page with your fees was taken down. When that happens, we name what changed.

Good changes count as soon as we see them: when you press **Check my site**, re-check a profile in **Directories**, answer the questions about your Google listing, or when your guide pages go live.

Your score measures what clients can find today. If we're building you a new website, your dashboard shows what it will score, and your score moves to it once it's live on your address and we've checked it there. From then on it keeps building as your Google listing, directory profiles and reviews improve.

## After you sign up

The **Report** page in your dashboard shows how your score has changed since you joined, and anything that still needs you.
