# How do I update my Google listing myself?

On your Google listing screen, choose I do it. We show your new description, categories, services and hours, each with a Copy button. Open your listing on Google, click Edit profile, and paste each one where it belongs.

## Step by step

1. In your dashboard, open **Google listing**, click **Fix these**, and choose **I do it**.
2. In another tab, search your practice's name on Google while signed in, or go to [business.google.com](https://business.google.com/).
3. Click **Edit profile**.
4. **Description**: under About, paste ours (Google allows up to 750 characters).
5. **Categories**: set the **Primary category** to ours, then add the **More categories**.
6. **Hours**: under Hours, set your opening hours.
7. **Services**: look for **Edit services** on your listing, and add each one from our list.
8. Click **Save** each time. Google may take a few days to show the changes.

## Good to know

- Don't add your town or keywords to your practice's name on Google. It breaks Google's rules and can get a listing suspended. Your description and categories do that job.
- Add a few real photos while you're there: you, your office, the building entrance.
