# How do you help me show up on Google and in AI answers?

We make your practice easy for Google and AI assistants to understand and trust: clear pages for each thing you help with and each area you serve, the details clients search for, a complete Google listing, and directory profiles that match and point back to your site.

## It starts with research, not a template

Before we write a word, your scan looks at the searches people near you actually use for the help you offer, who shows up for them today, how your Google listing and directory profiles describe you, and what an AI assistant says when someone asks it for a therapist like you. Your site is planned from that.

## On your website

- **A page for each specialty, way of working, group you work with and area you serve**, so you can come up when someone searches “grief counseling in [your town]”, not only for your name. Each page is written about that subject, so they don't read as copies of each other, which Google tends to ignore. If you see clients online, each state you see them in gets a page too ([how that works](https://dylt.ai/help/online-in-person-or-both)).
- **Page titles and descriptions** written for the searches clients actually use, one per page.
- **Your details in a form Google and AI assistants read** (often called structured data): your practice, each clinician, your address and hours, what you treat, your services, your common questions and answers, and how your pages fit together. It's written as one connected description of your practice rather than separate snippets, and it only ever says what your pages say.
- **Facts that match everywhere**: your name, address and phone are checked against your Google listing and directories, and your insurance and telehealth wording is read clause by clause, so nothing on your site contradicts what Google already knows.
- **Fast, simple pages** with no tracking scripts, so they load quickly on a phone, where most people search.

## Made readable for AI assistants

- **AI assistants are welcome**: your site tells ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI that they may read it. Many sites block them without knowing.
- **A plain summary for them to read** (a file called llms.txt): who you are, where you work, what you help with, your fees, insurance and how to book, all taken from your pages.
- **Questions answered in a form they can quote**: short, direct answers to the questions clients ask before they get in touch.

## Getting noticed quickly

- **A map of every page** (a sitemap) so Google finds all of them, not only your home page.
- **Search engines told straight away** when your site goes live, and again when you change it, so Bing and the assistants that rely on it don't wait for a crawler to happen by. Google finds changes through the sitemap.
- **Your old addresses kept**: when you switch from an old site, each old page is sent to the new page that says the same thing, so the standing it built up with Google carries across instead of turning into dead links.

## Beyond your website

- **Your Google listing**: the description, categories and services, so you show up on Google Maps. [See how](https://dylt.ai/help/google-listing).
- **Your directory profiles**: complete, consistent, and linked to your site, which helps Google trust it. [See how](https://dylt.ai/help/directories).
- **AI assistants**: we check what an assistant says when someone asks for a therapist like you, and which websites it relied on for that answer, then fix the information it relies on.

## Every month after that

Your monthly check runs the searches clients use near you again, on Google Maps and in the regular results, asks an AI assistant again, and looks at your listing and directories. Anything new to do appears as a step. [See your monthly check](https://dylt.ai/help/your-monthly-check).

## How long it takes

Google usually takes a few weeks to notice changes, and a few months for them to show fully. Your monthly check shows what's moving. Nobody can promise a particular spot on Google or in an AI answer, and we never will.

## Common questions

**What's the difference between SEO and showing up in AI answers?** SEO is showing up when someone searches Google. AI answers come from assistants like ChatGPT, which read websites, directories and reviews and then recommend a few names. Both reward the same things: clear pages about what you do and where, facts that match everywhere, and a site they're allowed to read. We do both at once.

**Do I need to understand any of this?** No. It's all built into your site, and your monthly check tells you in plain words what changed and anything that needs you.
