# How should I word a change so it comes out right?

Source: https://dylt.ai/help/asking-for-changes (updated 2026-10-13)

Say which page, which part, and exactly what you want, one change at a time: “On the Fees page, change the session fee to $190 for 50 minutes.” Quote the exact words you see when you want them changed, and say what to keep.

## Five habits that work

1. **One change per message.** Three changes in one message are harder to get right, and harder to undo one at a time.
2. **Name the page and the part.** “On the About page, in the second paragraph…” or use **Point at** and click it.
3. **Quote the exact words** you want changed, in quotation marks: change “individual therapy” to “therapy for adults”.
4. **Give the real details.** The assistant never makes up a price, an insurer, a credential or a web address, so include them: “Add that I accept Aetna and Cigna.”
5. **Say what to keep.** “Make the headline warmer, but keep Brooklyn and anxiety in it.”

## Vague and clear, side by side

| Instead of | Try |
| --- | --- |
| “Fix the fees.” | “On the Fees page, say sessions are $190 for 50 minutes, and I offer a sliding scale.” |
| “Make it look better.” | “Make the buttons dark green and the headings a little bigger.” |
| “Change the picture.” | “Replace the picture at the top of the home page with a calm forest path in morning light.” |
| “Add my info.” | “Add that I'm licensed in New York and New Jersey.” |
| “Delete that section.” | Click **Point at**, click the section, then type “Remove this section.” |

## Things you can say “everywhere”

Some changes apply to the whole site at once. For example: “Say clients instead of patients everywhere”, “Write the whole site as we”, or “Remove the word journey everywhere.” The assistant finds every place and checks none is left.

## Asking questions is free

You can ask the assistant things like “Where does my fee appear?” or “What's on my About page?” Questions don't use up a change.
